From what I've read, the first half is from a scene in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor. The main character, Lucia, has from some reason or other killed someone - i think she's an adulteress? something like that - and she's being haunted by the ghost. She's going insane, and the song is where she's pleading with the ghost to leave her in peace.
Second half of the song is absolutely amazing. Not that i don't like the first half. I am an opera fan, after all, but i dont particularly like that style. The second half, though, is absolutely amazing. Just go download it, skip through the first half if you must, and listen.

SO. How was everyone's Fourth of July? I certainly hope it was more eventful and less humid than mine. Boring day, barbeque, but the evening was fun enough - playing with little baby chibies! in a big balloon type thingie! And fireworks! (the fireworks were later, not in the balloon, yare...)

And today... mowed the lawn. Huzzah.

Oh! and fixed the comp!!! much happiness, now that i've remembered that fact!
Eeeeeee! Now i can play on Photoshop without fearing the demise of my faithful but rustic computer! Wheeeee!
