something wicked this way comes

w00t, after weeks of sporadic posting, i've typed up two in one day~

As you can probably tell from the post title or heading or whatever you want to call it, I have finally watched the HP PoA trailer. Draco looks interesting. I mean, *somebodys* had a growth spurt. And he finally left behind the prepubescent gel-slicked hair stage. And does anyone else think Lupin looks like a banker?

Speaking of movies, RotK looks absolutely delicious. Aragorns leading an army of dead people, Sam gets to fight a giant octopod, Frodo dies but really doesnt, owen cross-dresses, and a multitude of other plot-twisting things. And some more New Zealand scenery. Yum.

And now for a quick little rant

One phrase that people like to throw around is freedom of speech.

Its a right guaranteed by the first amendment, they say.

Now, I know we have an education problem, but this is ridiculous. Notice the very fist words of the first amendment. Let me quote it for you.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Clearly stated, the amendment is telling congress not to make any laws limiting the freedom of speech. It does not say anything along the lines of the people of the United States can say whatever the hell they want to and not suffer any consequences for it. But, sadly, this is exactly what a lot of suspected intellectuals claim.

While it does not limit your activities, it still is not a go-ahead for you to slander, libel, defame or threaten any persons other than yourself. Be as self-deprecating as youd like to be, just dont project your insecurity onto anyone else. And by the way, the above amendment to our constitution definitely did not intend to give its citizens the so-called freedom to speak and act in a treasonous manner on our own soil and get away with it.

The liberty to speak freely does not remove the responsibility to speak wisely. Freedom of speech its not something to take lightly.
