hello, darkness my old friend...
I am going to dutifully type this up so I can say "see blog for details" and leave it at that, and then I am going to *burrow* into my nicely aged bedcovers and I will not just sleep, but I shall *rest*.
Last week of high school. Ever.
Rar.
Sorry, I'm too tired to be properly jubilant. I'll be sure to prep myself for excitement before graduation.
So Friday morning was the Very Special Field Day thing, which is Laura's reason numbers 1239, 687, and 340 Why Not To Have Kids. Immediately after that we departed for LSU to take tests. In the madness i forgot to turn in the order for the scholar's banquet, so it looks like I won't be attending... wouldn't be the same without my dad anyway. Somewhere inbetween all that I purchased Ella Enchanted, which I read on the way down to Baton Rouge. Judging from Whit and Mary's responses to my boredom during the latter half of the trip down, I read at an impressive rate.
Friday night, Daddy had a heart attack. After we got back from the tests, I rushed home and my brother and I went to Shreveport. Came home, slept a bit, went back today. He's okay now... sort of, except for the while unidentified bacteria thing. I have the entire hospital layout memorized by now - quite a feat for navigationally challeneged me - and the waiters at the chinese restaurant (which has the best chicken chowder ever) have come to expect us in various combinations for lunch and dinner.
I'm finally home now for what seems like the first time in a week. I finally bought a calculator so i can work my homework problems. But it's 11:45 and, as much as I really am fond of numbers, I really just don't feel like doing this at all.
What I *do* feel like doing is just laying down, closing my eyes, and never opening them again. That's definitely more appealing right now than finding maxima and minima for hotdog vending rates. Mrs. Martin doesnt want to come to school to give finals anyway... I'm sure we'll work something out. Or something.
Sorry for whining, but this is much cheaper than a shrink. I'll shut up soon anyway.
