Success~ It works again.
Blogger has been giving me trouble. *crosses fingers* Hopefully this one will post.
So, I left off with arriving in Louisiana. All things considered, it was a rather uneventful spring break. The drive down was occupied with radio news and talk shows of Terry Schiavo. I got to see my friends <annA, John, Laura, Mary, Corky, and Josh> with the exception of Matt, who was in Indianna. It was nice to see everybody again~~
Also, I was able to spend some time with Ms. Lisa and co~ Paige, you grew quite a lot! I don't think I mentioned that, so here it is. I'll send you guys some more of those panda cookies and Pocky when I can~~ And Ty, I stumbled across Chrono Crusade 3 and 4 in the bookstore, but I haven't seen 2.
-----edit------
AND I got to see my good friend Ashley, one of the very few people from elementary school whose company I enjoy, and frankly, one of the very few from grammar school who is worth the bother of keeping in touch. It's nice to have a friend of ten years who hasn't changed much, or at least, hasn't morphed into an 'I can't believe we used to be great friends!' sort of creature. Ashley's as sweet now as she was in fourth grade... more than I can say for anyone else back then, myself included!
~~Didn't mean to leave you out, dear~ I actually thought I'd mentioned you, but it must have just been in my head ^_~ I don't know why you put up with me!
-----/edit-----
Anyway~ on to more recent news!
I kinda want to post some stuff about the Pope's death and Terry Schiavo, but after spending the last week hearing nothing but Ave Marias, and that after three weeks of nothing but Terry Schiavo, I'm rather tired of it all, to tell the truth, so I think I'll forego it just this once.
This week was rather hectic. My sleep schedule has been screwed up since last week, when after FEP I went home and fell asleep at 6, woke up at 2, did homework and went to class. Night coverage on the news has been filled twice over with the pope's life and the pope's death and the pope's funeral and that Nigerian cardinal. Gah. Although, I think it's catching up with me. I get sleepy at random times of the day now, so methinks my body is trying to get its clock set back to normal.
Monday night, around 10, I got a bit queasy; at 2 I was vomiting. I fell asleep at 4, slept entirely through Alpha Company Battalion Competition, and woke at 9 to absolutely freak out, only to have crying fits when my Internet went down and I couldn't even get the numbers or my platoon sergeant or chief. I was so mad... I would have done well, too, and I had my whites all pressed and ready.
It ended up okay, though. I got to make up inspection with HQ and Charlie Company, though I didn't have to drill (yay!).
Today, MIDNs Wilhelm, Pilloud, Lance Corp. Jenkins and I had to give a presentation on Operation Enduring Freedom, which would have been all well and good if not for the persons in the audience who were dying of nearly ruptured bladders due to the sudden notice of a mandatory urinalysis. Lecturing on Naval doctrine, which is dry as sawdust, is difficult enough without half of your classmates grimacing at you throughout.
Oh, and does anyone know what might be giving my computer internet fits? I had problems the other day, but I've fixed that already. But as of last night, AIM would work, MSN messenger wouldn't and explorer wouldn't. Thing is, when I went to ping the gateway, I pinged google just for the heck of it, and -after I pinged it- it worked. Came back with no loss or anything, and only then would it work on explorer. Some sites worked after I pinged them; others didn't work even then. It's all very odd. Anyone know what might have been the problem?
Randomly: read Good Omens. C'est superb~
