Andromeda Strain plug

I don't usually care for Michael Crichton overmuch. I mean, I like his writing well enough, but it's not anything that I get excited over, not like Harry Potter or Leon Uris or Neil Gaiman or anything.

But this~ I like this.

Environmentalism is a religion, folks.

--------------

In a brief today about SWCC - Special Warfare Combatant Crew or something like that - I couldn't quite concentrate on the matter at hand.

That is, until he mentioned "The Firebolt Incident," refering to an incident in the Persian Gulf two years ago, I think, maybe longer ago than that, where two sailors were killed he two were killed when suicide attackers detonated explosive-laden boats near some oil facilities.

Naturally, my first thoughts upon hearing the question "who knows about the Firebolt incident" were "Brooms!" and "What have brooms got to do with naval warfare?"

*sigh*

So~ I woke up at 5:30 this morning and went to school in PT sweats only to find out that there wasn't to be any remedial PT today. I did a bit by myself anyway - ran up to the graveyard and back - since I was already up and in sweats and all.

And then, when I was leaving for Korean, some nut spilled coffee all over my khakis. They were -nasty-, and there was no way I could have washed them, dried them, and made it to Korean on time. We had a test today, too... >.<

But the rest of the day wasn't so bad.

I'm very tired right now, though. I think I'm going to head off to bed.

G'nite, all~
