!!!
I have sooo much calc I should be doing right now...
Butbutbut~~ there's things to talk about! And I've been wanting to blog for the last few days, but I don't remember what I wanted to blog about exactly, so I'll go ahead now before I forget again.
>_<
Anyhoo.
Classes are great~ with the exception of calc, of course, but that just goes without saying. And the Korean class is waaay the heck on the other side of campus from where I park! This morning it took me 45 minutes to get from Broomfield to Boulder (ridiculous, since it normally takes ten), then I spent 8 minutes looking for a parking spot before I accidentally discovered the rooftop parking (the signs are horrible! It's a psychology department experiment, is the parking structure!) and after I parked it took ANOTHER TEN MINUTES to walk to McKenna. Gah.
But other than those things, yes, classes are progressing just fine. CompSci is lovely~ it's the antithesis to my calc class - easy material, a professor who talks slowly and enunciates and talkes everything at the most (admittedly excruciating at times) basic level.
His name is Skip, and he's anywhere from 40 to a spry 60, and he today he wore a turquois and violet plaid flannel shirt over his usual belted-shorts-and-flowery-tshirt ensemble.
And Tuesday the TA (who appears to originally German? only a slight accent) was wearing a shirt that said "English doesn't borrow from other languages. English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over the head, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar."
And today one of the guys in the front row who has a laptop was looking at NuklearPower. I SAW it.
It's wonderful. I love CSCI.
In other news~
I just sent an email to Ms. Lisa this morning or yesterday or sometime very recently about how I hadn't managed to snag Wicked tickets on time. Then Sarah calls me and keeps insisting that I make sure I'm off work on the 24th. Today, after many missed calls back and forth, Sarah finally let the cat out of the bag... and announced that she had somehow procured a sole Wicked Ticket for me.
I'm saving the celebrations until the silly girl finds out if she can also procure one for helself which -I- will pay for. If she manages that, -then- I will whoop and hollar (I've already hollared at her quite a bit, actually)and celebrate. And she'd damned well better manage it, too. *pointed glare*
It's 12:10, i'd better do my calc now.
But first!
Changes have come to Lotuspetal, in case no one's noticed~ slowly but surely, yes, the whole damned thing has gone through an update, from the sidebar to the header.
Some blogs of my friends' which are no longer updated I went ahead and deleted... the rest, though... I did actually spend a few moments worridly deliberating about whether it made any difference what order I put them in, then settled for alphabetical so no one could broker any mock hard feelings about it.
>_<**
