Wahh!!

So much to blog about!!

Today, I had to take a test without having had any notes to study from... more later.

My book came in!!
The Lost Queen of Eqypt, by Lucile Morrison
From what I can tell, it's a really rare book. I read it in, gosh, middle school? I don't remember exactly... I think it must have been 7th or 8th grade, but I loved this book; until then, nothing had really brought ancient Egypt to life for me. This book did the trick... I'll never forget the somewhat astonished look on Dr. Middleton's face in 9th grade at my first quiz bowl practice when I blurted out "Nefretiti!" before he could even finish the quesiton, hehe. All thanks to this book!

Apparently, a lot of other people also have a great fondness for this book. I've seen it on sale for anywhere from $125 to $400+. It was published in the 1930's, and I haven't heard of any plans for reprints. I'm so lucky~! just $30 for this great, rare book~~

My mom is giving me funny looks for putting a book in a case.

>_<

In other news~
It's 11:45 now... I spent like 6 hours at supply and got very little done, considering the amount of hours I spent there. But the PT gear is all nice and organized now, and two of the DOR seabags have been emptied. Also, I have a new spreadsheet in the works so we can inventory things -much- easier than with the color-coded monstrosity we're using now.

At 8:30-ish Sarah, Molly, Rachel and I went to Denny's~~ We're all so busy with our work and study schedules that we never get to hang out all together anymore! But we had a chance today, and leap at it we did. Yumyum, Denny's... only because there are no Waffle Houses to be had, of course.

Me: Raccoon!
Sarah: WHERE?!?!
Rachel: Haha~ she's all freaked out about racoons now
Sarah: You don't understand! It was peeling a banana! With its little racoon fingers! I SAW it!

Molly: Turtle.

And~~ and~~~

About Saturday~~

Yes, Paiger, I went to see Wicked.

The Glinda understudy was magnificent. Stephanie Block grew on me more and more so that by the end of the second act I liked her as much as Idena Menzel. Fiyero... I had my heart set on the original Fiyero, so I was a tad disappointed with this one, but I will admit, he had a great speaking voice. The set was gorgeous (complete with smoke-breathing Ozwald! Yes, he has a name!) and the orchestra was very professional (according to Sarah) (the Pit looked scary to me...). The end product was fantastic. I loved it, loved it, loved it. Has to be the best birthday present I've ever had.

What can I say? It -was- wicked. (and I have the shirt to prove it!)

So~~ Paiger, what did I get you? hehe~

You'll just have to wait and see. Did those books I sent earlier arrive, by the way?
