The plan was
to finish the nice robe I'd started last year, the one made of nice suit material with plenty of wonderful *swish* in the fabric-
-but once I actually got around to trying to sew the damned thing this evening, it was obviously way too much trouble. I need a mannequin to complete it.
So, in lieu of a nice set of properly designed robes (I hate this pattern!), I made a Wal-Mart run with my mum and got some fleece instead. Three hours later, I have an adequate but plain set of black robes with an (unintentional) Oxford style collar, frog closures and a wand pocket. This one has been properly sewn, from start to finish, so even if I never get around to completing the nicer set (very likely), this one should last me a while.
While I'm on the subject of costuming, props to WizardTies for unbelievably professional service and prompt delivery.
10:30 tomorrow!!
Molly, Amanda, and Hope are seeing it right now. I am as green as a Dark Mark with envy.
I hope it's not too cold tomorrow.
